K9 Healers SPRING 2018 Session begins Wednesday April 4th at the Homestead in Penn Yan
Level 1 – 8:15-9:15 p.m.
Level 1 class is designed to prepare you and your dog to work in a group setting. Using lots of positive reinforcement, you will learn to teach your dog to pay attention, sit, lay down, stay in position and heel on a loose leash. Your dog will become a well mannered member of your family and community.
Level 2 – 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Level 2 class is designed to prepare you and your dog for the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test (www.akc.org/events/cgc/program.cfm) The Canine Good Citizen title demonstrates that your dog is a welcome and well respected member of your family and the community.
Participants in both classes learn about good nutrition, basic first aid for animals, how to read a dog’s body language and massage techniques using therapeutic essential oils.
Classes are limited to eight dogs per class. Class is 8 weeks
Cost of these classes is $110.
AKC COMMUNITY CANINE CLASS
2018 session begins June 6th 6:30-7:30 p.m.
This 6 week class will prepare you for the Community Canine Evaluation http://www.akc.org/dog-owners/training/akc-community-canine/ Class will take place in various locations within the Penn Yan Community. Enrollment fee is $95. Class size limited to 6 dogs.
